China Media Group (CMG) produces the CCTV New Year’s Gala, sometimes referred to as the Spring Festival Gala and frequently abbreviated as Chunwan in Chinese. Every year on the eve of Chinese New Year, it airs on China Global Television Network’s flagship channel, CCTV-1, as well as globally.
