Excellent FAQ, answers a whole lot of Phantasy Star Online 2 Meseta my initial doubts.

Gosh, this seems so complicated. On the one hand, kudos for maintaining the game intact so that there won’t be a riot over fluctuations people do not like. However on the flip side, since they’re remaking base PSO2 visuals anyhow, I wish they would only go 100 percent and synchronize personality models completely. Giving old players some free fashion items and unlocks will be sufficient to bribe everyone to accept the new system.

Synchronizing 100% character models does not seem easy. The problem is that the old outfits and coating use are modeled to fit the older pso2 body. That is not likely to happen. Well, I mean that I’d be willing to shed a certain proportion of those makeup to help keep things intact around versions. Provided that there’s a steady feed of cool new things to replace it, I don’t mind. I constantly rotate out my old appearances anyhow. As long as the character models translate 1:1 it’ll still feel just like mine.

The example I can think of is that the Monster Hunter Frontier Z cooperation where I can imagine the clothes and weapons could unquestionably be provided a visual upgrade alongside everything else but that I don’t exactly know how the licensing or how the legal side of this collaboration works where I’d wish it had been as simple as Sega going through and upgrading the resources but I don’t understand about just how much Capcom is involved in this process.

The same applies to collaborations such as the Final Fantasy XIV collaboration with Odin (which exists as far as I know) where I don’t know how much Square Enix is involved in that for Sega to be able to upgrade assets there. When it was purely just Phantasy Star-related items (like character outfits, cameos from different games, or other Sega-related possessions ) I could imagine that this probably would have been achieved, or would be done. But from the Global version we don’t have the existence of Cougar NX so I don’t know if there are additional complications regarding Sega’s own properties that might also contribute not to updating everything they can within Buy pso2 meseta xbox reason.
